Description of Services

South Lake Tahoe Insulation provides residential and commercial insulation services, including but not limited to spray foam insulation, attic insulation, blown-in insulation, crawl space insulation, wall insulation, air sealing, vapor barrier installation, and related services in the South Lake Tahoe, CA area and surrounding communities. All services are provided by licensed and insured contractors. Specific services, materials, and scope are defined in written estimates provided to each customer before work begins.

Estimates and Pricing

All estimates are provided in writing following an on-site assessment. Estimates reflect the scope of work, materials, and labor as understood at the time of the visit.

• Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated in writing.
• If conditions discovered during the work differ materially from what was visible during the assessment - such as concealed damage, unexpected existing materials, or access issues - we will notify you before proceeding with any work that would change the estimated cost.
• Prices are subject to change if the project scope changes at your request after the estimate is accepted.
• We do not guarantee that estimates from third parties match ours. All pricing reflects our specific costs, materials, and standards.

Scheduling and Cancellations

Appointments are confirmed in writing or by phone. We ask that you:

• Give us at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed appointment. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may result in a cancellation fee to cover scheduling and preparation costs.
• Ensure the work area is accessible and cleared as requested before the crew arrives. If the crew arrives and cannot access the work area, we reserve the right to reschedule and charge a trip fee.
• Comply with any re-entry restrictions after certain types of insulation work (for example, the 24-hour re-entry window required after spray foam application). We are not liable for health issues arising from failure to follow re-entry instructions we provide.

We reserve the right to reschedule work due to weather, safety conditions, material availability, or other circumstances outside our control. We will contact you promptly if a rescheduling is necessary.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are stated in each written estimate. Standard terms are:

• A deposit may be required to hold your scheduled date. Deposit amounts and refundability are stated in the estimate.
• The remaining balance is due upon completion of the work unless other terms have been agreed to in writing.
• Late payments may be subject to interest charges as permitted under California law.
• We accept payment by cash, check, or electronic transfer. Accepted methods will be confirmed when the estimate is issued.

Warranty and Workmanship

We stand behind the quality of our work. Warranty terms are stated in writing with each project.

• Our workmanship warranty covers defects in installation caused by our crew for a period stated in the project documentation.
• Manufacturer warranties on materials are separate and subject to the terms of the manufacturer. We will provide product documentation upon request.
• Warranties do not cover damage caused by events outside our control, including but not limited to fire, flood, pest infestation, structural movement, or modifications to the work area made by others after installation.

If we are unable to resolve a dispute informally within 30 days, either party may pursue mediation before filing a formal legal claim. Any dispute that proceeds to litigation will be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction in California. The prevailing party in any such action shall not automatically be entitled to attorney fees unless awarded by the court under applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California.
